Root of quadratic equation are given by formula , \\(x = {-b \\pm \\sqrt{b^2-4ac} \\over 2a}\\)
Use the Quadratic formula.
Take variable xy on one side and values on another side. Try to complete the square on the variable side by adding something on both sides of the equation.

Rewrite the equation with the only constant term on the right side.after that
Complete the square by adding the square of one-half of the coefficient of x to both sides.
and then write the left side as a square and simplify the right side.
