If n is odd, then median is the \\(\\left ( \\frac{n+1}{2} \\right )th\\) observation
If n is even, the median is the mean of the \\(\\left ( \\frac{n}{2} \\right )th\\) and the \\(\\left ( \\frac{n}{2}+1 \\right )th\\) observations.
