To convert the sign to Multiply take the reciprocal of the second number.
Use BIDMAS
Simplify the mixed fraction. \\((5\\frac{4}{7}= \\frac{(7\\times 5 )+4}{7})\\)
Multiply the dividend by the reciprocal of the divisor
1- solve the numbers in brackets 1st. 2- When we divide fractions, we turn the division problem into a multiplication problem by turning the divisor (the second fraction) upside down (switching its numerator with its denominator) and changing the division symbol to a multiplication symbol at the same time.
Takeaway means subtraction. To subtract, make denominators the same by taking the L.C.M of denominators. To make it simple, you can also do cross multiply.
As the denominators are different, you need to find the LCM of the denominator and then add the fraction
Here you can directly multiply the numerators and denominators, no need to find the LCM
As the denominator is not same, you need to find the LCM of the denominator and then subtract the fraction
Make the denominators the same by taking L.C.M L.C.M of 1,7,7 is 7
